How Mentora handles personal data.

Mentora is operated by ELIF LABS. Mentora ("Mentora", "we", "us", or "our") provides an educational learning portal for students and parents. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use Mentora.

We collect account information such as name, email address, account type, login provider details, and parent-student linking information. We also collect learning information such as diagnostic answers, practice attempts, correctness, progress reports, recommended next steps, XP/activity records, and course progress.

We use personal data to create and secure accounts, provide learning recommendations, generate student and parent reports, support parent-student linking, improve product reliability, prevent misuse, respond to support requests, and comply with legal or operational requirements.

Parent accounts can only view a student's reports after a valid link has been created between the parent and student accounts. Linked access can be revoked. Parents should only connect to a student account where they have permission to support that student's learning.

We use trusted service providers to operate Mentora, including hosting, authentication, database, backend, email, analytics, and security infrastructure. These may include providers such as Supabase, Vercel, Render, Google OAuth, and email delivery providers. We share personal data with these providers only as needed to provide and protect the service.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information where necessary to provide the service, protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or respond to valid legal requests.

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide Mentora, maintain records, support security, resolve disputes, and meet legal or operational obligations. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Mentora E-Math Resources in ChatGPT helps you find public Mentora maths revision resources. When you ask it to find a resource, ChatGPT sends your short search request to Mentora's resource service in an encrypted connection. The service checks the request against a fixed catalogue and returns matching resource titles, topics, descriptions, and links. It does not fetch the linked pages for you; if you open a link, that visit is handled by the Mentora website under this Privacy Policy.

Please do not include names, account details, answers, or other personal information in a resource search. The service processes the request to find matches. This version has no Mentora sign-in and cannot access learner accounts, diagnostic reports, submitted answers, grading, or the adaptive course. It does not create learner sessions or save search requests in a Mentora application database.

To help prevent excessive requests, the service uses the client network address supplied by its host to apply a limit of 60 requests per minute for each address key in each running service process. The short counter is kept in process memory, expires after its one-minute window, and is not written to an application database or application log.

Render hosts this resource service. Its application logs record response status, not the search request text or client address. The current Render workspace retains application logs for seven days. Render separately processes connection and operational information, which may include device and IP information; Render does not state one fixed deletion period for all such provider-side information. ChatGPT and OpenAI separately process your conversation and tool request under the settings and privacy practices that apply to your ChatGPT account. Mentora does not control that processing. The Mentora resource service does not call other third-party APIs to search its catalogue.
